Expungement Granted.

Cliff Bidlingmaier was successful in having an expungement granted by a Superior Court Judge.  His client had charges that were filed against him, and that appeared on his criminal background checks.  When an expungement is granted in New Jersey, the Expungement Statute provides that (N.J.S.A. 2C:52-27), in the vast majority of situations the effect of expungement “[u]nless otherwise provided by law, if an order of expungement is granted, the arrest, conviction and any proceedings related thereto shall be deemed not to have occurred, and the petitioner may answer any questions relating to their occurrence accordingly,” except in some situations.
